This poses no risk. We’ve performed a toxicological analysis and concluded that under normal use swallowing gel is harmless nevertheless we advise people not to do this because some may encounter gastro-intestinal discomfort.

This is due to the smiling area, when you smile people don’t see the back teeth therefore it’s useless to whiten them. Besides if the tray would be longer and touch the back teeth then the gag reflex would be overstimulated and would the risk on vomiting be very high. We’ve designed the dimensions of the tray based on the intensive analysis with a team of experts in order to determine an universal fit, it may be that some exceptions (teeth way too big and/or too small) don’t fall into that category but this will be rare.

The recommended time is 20 minutes. The activity of the gel is worn out after 20 minutes. It does not mean the longer you wear the tray, the whiter the teeth.
